Volvo Car Corp. expects to sell 65,000 units a year of its new C30. The Swedish automaker said it expects 75 percent of those sales, or 48,750 units, to be in Europe. The C30 is expected to go on sale in the United States next summer.
Volvo on Monday released photos of the production version of the C30. The production car closely resembles a concept version of the car introduced at the Detroit auto show in January.
The production C30 will be introduced at the Paris auto show in September.
The four-seat C30 uses the same platform, and shares its 103.9 wheelbase, with Volvo's larger S40 sedan and V50 wagon. The C30's overall length of 167 inches is 8.5 inches shorter than the S40.
