DETROIT -- Metaldyne Corp. has promoted Kim Kovac to executive vice president of human resources, the supplier said Wednesday. Kovac also will be responsible for environmental, health and safety operations.
Kovac, 47, has been with Metaldyne since 2001. Most recently she was vice president of human resources. Before that she was corporate benefits manager and director of compensation and benefits.
Kovac also will oversee Metaldyne University, a global training program for employees. She will report to CEO Tim Leuliette.
Metaldyne, of Plymouth, Mich., has more than 6,500 employees at 38 facilities globally. It ranks No. 69 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 global suppliers, with worldwide original-equipment automotive parts sales of $2.16 billion in 2005.
