Quick, what's Ford's best-selling car?
The Fusion? Ha!
The Five Hundred? No way.
Well, then, it must be the Focus.
Not even close.
Ford's best-selling car is the Taurus, once the top car nameplate in the United States but now reduced to a fleet-only model in Ford's lineup.
But fleet buyers are mighty glad the Taurus still lives. They bought 20,418 of them in June, just 2,362 short of the combined total of the Fusion and Five Hundred.
The Taurus also was Ford's best-selling car for the first half of this year.
Ford needs a blockbuster model to get its car sales back on track. Dare we suggest a revamped, refurbished, restyled (we'll say it softly) Taurus?
