Porsche is on a roll.
The German sports car brand was ranked No. 1 last week in a J.D. Power consumer survey, called APEAL, that gauged how gratifying a new vehicle is to own and drive.
Porsche also ranked No. 1 in J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study in June, which toted up quality problems.
German and Japanese automakers dominated Power's APEAL study.
BMW and Mercedes-Benz followed Porsche. Next came Lexus and Infiniti.
Ford was the only U.S. automaker to win No. 1 spots.
The Ford Mustang dominated the mid-sized sporty car segment, and the Ford Fusion ranked highest in the mid-sized car category.
