The 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited arrives in the fall, one of four new or redesigned models hitting Jeep showrooms this year.
The 2007 four-door Wrangler Unlimited rides on a 116-inch-wheelbase. The stretched SUV is 20.6 inches longer than the redesigned Wrangler on which it is based.
The 2007 Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited are designed as traditional off-road Jeeps. Jeep also will market this year the 2007 Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot, the brand's first crossovers.
The five-passenger Wrangler Unlimited will be sold in X, Sahara and Rubicon versions.
The standard engine on all versions is a 3.8-liter V-6 generating 205 hp. A six-speed manual transmission is standard.
The Wrangler Unlimited will be sold in left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive versions in about 100 countries. Sales in international markets begin in the first half of 2007.
A diesel engine will be available outside North America.
Jeep has not announced prices for the Wrangler Unlimited.
The redesigned 2007 Wrangler also reaches showrooms this fall.
