Audi unveiled its second-generation TT coupe in Germany this month. The aluminum space-frame car debuted in 1998. The new TT will continue to use a space frame but for the first time will combine aluminum and steel. The new two-plus-two coupe, which goes on sale in April 2007, is bigger than its predecessor - 5.4 inches longer, at 164.5 inches, and 3.1 inches wider, at 75.2 inches. Audi will launch the convertible version in early summer 2007. The new TT will be powered by either a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder direct-injection engine or a 3.2-liter V-6.
