The 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited arrives in the fall, one of four new or redesigned models reaching Jeep showrooms this year.
The 2007 four-door Wrangler Unlimited rides on a 116-inch wheelbase. The stretched SUV is 20.6 inches longer than the redesigned 2007 Jeep Wrangler, on which it is based.
The 2007 Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited are designed as hard-core, traditional off-road Jeeps. The brand also will bring to market this year the 2007 Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot, its first crossovers.
The five-passenger Wrangler Unlimited will be sold in X, Sahara and Rubicon models.
The standard engine on all models is a 3.8-liter V-6 generating 205hp. A six-speed manual transmission is standard.
The Wrangler Unlimited will be sold in left-hand- and right-hand-drive versions in about 100 countries. Sales internationally will begin in the first half of 2007. A diesel engine will be available outside North America.
Jeep has not priced the Wrangler Unlimited.
The redesigned 2007 Wrangler also reaches showrooms this fall.
