GRAND BLANC, Mich. -- Albert Serra, former dealer and founder of Serra Investments, which owned more than 20 dealerships across the country, died here April 1. He was 77. In 2000, Serra's son Joe bought the business, which now is called Serra Automotive Inc. Serra Automotive ranks No. 33 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 dealership groups in the United States with retail sales of 17,256 new vehicles in 2005.
BOSTON -- Wil Smyly, retired owner of Smyly Autos Inc. in Malden, Mass., which at one time included one of the largest Buick dealerships in the country, died Feb. 25 in Peabody, Mass. He was 82.
