AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Two Volkswagen of America Inc. executives have been laid off, a company source confirmed late last week. A longtime spokesman for the company is expected to leave soon.
Gone are Charlie Waterhouse, who was Volkswagen of America's head of product planning, and Greg Smith, executive director of distribution and logistics. Tony Fouladpour, the public relations manager for 15 years, is expected to leave within six weeks, the source said.
The moves come five months after Adrian Hallmark took over as executive vice president of Volkswagen of America. He replaced Len Hunt. Volkswagen of America did not respond to a request for comment.
