DETROIT -- General Motors has named Megan Stooke as director of marketing for its Hummer brand.
Stooke replaces Liz Vanzura, who was named global director of marketing for Cadillac in January. The change takes effect Wednesday, March 1, a GM spokeswoman says.
Stooke now is director of advertising and sales promotion for Chevrolet. Her replacement at Chevrolet will be named later.
Stooke will report to Martin Walsh, divisional general manager for Hummer.
She started her career with Holden, GM's Australian unit, in 1995. Last May, she joined vehicle sales, service and marketing in North America. A GM spokeswoman says Stooke's international experience and advertising knowledge are great assets for Hummer.
