I'd like to add a note to the Feb. 6 column by Samuel Harrison Chorches.
I agree with him that the time has come for fixed-price selling. Look at CarMax. CarMax proves it works month after month. The downfall is that your customer will get your fixed price and take it to your competition. The competition will beat your price by a few bucks and take your customer.
The consumer has to be sold on the whole process of no-pressure selling.
