Led by a parade of legendary racing and production Camaros from the early 1970s, Chevrolet rolled its entry in the reborn pony car race to the stage with its Camaro concept.
The Camaro concept takes styling cues from the 1969 Camaro. But under the concepts hood is an all-aluminum 6.0-liter V-8 that is rated at 400 hp.
The engines cylinder deactivation system would help the car get more than 30 mpg at highway speeds.
The concepts engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The chassis has four-wheel independent suspension and disc brakes. GM officials gave no hints on whether the concept will lead to a production car.
