TOKYO -- Continental AG's Automotive Systems Division aims to double its sales in Asia to 1 billion euros by 2010. To support that growth, it opened a regional headquarters in Shanghai, China, in November. It also will open a technology center in Yokohama, Japan, with 250 engineers. The Asian push is key to a drive by Continental to generate at least half its new sales in 2010 from non-European carmakers.
Continental, of Frankfurt, supplies braking, stability, and chassis-control systems.
