LOS ANGELES -- Toyota Division will be the title sponsor of three major off-road motorcycle racing series for the 2006 season.
Toyota will sponsor the World Supercross GP Series, AMA Motocross Series, as well as the AMA National Arenacross Series. The races attract more than 2.5 million attendees and are televised on network and cable TV channels.
The average age of motocross fans is 23 years old. About 75 percent of motocross fans have a household pickup truck. More than one-third of the motocross events Toyota will sponsor are held in the Heartland states.
Chevrolet sponsored the AMA Supercross series through 2004. The series had no title sponsor in 2005.
