Inside Nissan Motor Co., Carlos Tavares, executive vice president for product planning, is known informally as "Little Carlos," while his boss is CEO "Big Carlos" Ghosn.
They share more than a first name. Ghosn, born in Brazil, and Tavares, a native of Portugal, both speak Portuguese. Ah, but which accent is better?
"Brazilian is almost like singing, like the French accent from Marseilles compared to Paris. I have to admit that the Brazilian accent is much nicer than the Portuguese one," says Tavares, adding, "Be sure to print that."
