KERPEN, Germany - Visteon's newly opened innovation center here will focus on future interior design trends.
The E400,000 center brings designers, engineers and market researchers together under one roof.
"We want to put the needs of the vehicle buyer at the center of the development process because emotional aspects are becoming increasingly important," said Mathias Hüttenrauch, Visteon's global marketing director.
The E400,000 center is the supplier's first attempt at interdisciplinary design.
It is located in Hemmersbach castle in Kerpen.
Visteon's partners in the project are the Royal College of Art in London; Berlin University of the Arts; and the Sociovision consulting institute, which specializes in social-cultural analysis.
