DETROIT -- Omron Automotive Electronics Components Co. has set up a subsidiary in Stuttgart to develop automotive safety sensor technology. The subsidiary also will have an r&d center in Lindau, Germany. Also, the company's Omron Dualtec Automotive Electronics Inc. unit has opened a plant in Oakville, Ontario, to make control units, heating venting and air conditioning panels, flashers and switch products.
Omron Automotive Electronics, of Novi, Mich., supplies electronic control units, keyless entry, switches, closure controls, laser radar sensor, relays and electronic power steering. It is a unit of Omron Corp. of Kyoto, Japan.
