DETROIT -- Delphi Corp. has named David Sherbin as its chief compliance officer, the auto supplier said Monday.
The job is in addition to Sherbin's role as Delphi's general counsel. Sherbin, 46, will report to CEO Steve Miller and Audit Committee Chairman Robert Brust.
As chief compliance officer, Sherbin's job will be to make sure that Delphi's financial, legal and human resources staffs work together and meet internal and regulatory standards. Delphi filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Oct. 8.
Delphi, of Troy, Mich., ranks No. 2 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 global suppliers with estimated worldwide original-equipment automotive parts sales of $24.10 billion in 2004.
