Bob Crumley becomes executive vice president of product planning, purchasing and logistics. Crumley was chief executive of SY Systems Technology America. He will also oversee Yazaki's research and development, marketing and product management functions. Bryan Jinnet to vice president, quality of New Yazaki System, Yazaki's lean production system for its American plants. Jinnet had held quality positions at Robert Bosch GmbH and Johnson Controls Inc. He will chair Yazaki's quality directors' council. Bob McDonald was named vice president of purchasing. He was director of Yazaki's EDS, electronics and instrumentation purchasing unit. Bill Wilson becomes executive vice president of the transplant business unit. The move positions him to succeed Tomohiro Nakajima, the unit's president, who will return to Japan in February. Wilson was president of the company's component business unit. Myron Trenne becomes vice president of the Alpha Group. Trenne was vice president of research and development. Nigel Thompson becomes executive vice president of strategy, finance and business systems. Thompson was executive vice president of development and planning.
