Henderson: Staying Put
The German business newspaper Handelsblatt reported last week that the 46-year-old Henderson will assume GM's vacant presidency at the end of this year. GM Europe President Carl-Peter Forster would replace Henderson.
But the guy who should know says Henderson is staying put.
"Fritz is going to be here in Europe for the foreseeable future," GM CEO Rick Wagoner told Automotive News last week at the Frankfurt auto show. "We have no management changes to announce in Europe, and I don't anticipate anybody's going to move."
Henderson, a 21-year GM veteran, has led successful turnarounds at GM's Brazilian operations and at Isuzu Motors.
