"The story (about bad) relationships between suppliers and the traditional Big 3 is overblown negatively. These folks do what they need to do. They've got a purchasing organization whose job is to get the best price they can.
If suppliers aren't bringing technology, aren't bringing value and/or don't understand their offering well enough to defend it at the negotiating table, that's not an issue for the OEM. That's an issue for the supplier."
