To the Editor:
Please let me know when Ford Motor Co. gets down to one salaried employee. (Ford has been on a cost-reduction program ever since I joined the company in 1963.)
In the meantime, Ford might more profitably look to the quality of management rather than the quantity for a solution to its problems. Quality products, competitive one-on-one with Toyota, Audi, etc., would help, too.
The writer is a Ford retiree. He was with the company for 30 years in dealer relations and served on the Dealer Policy Board.
