To the Editor:
Yes, it's a no-brainer - a no-brainer that Automotive News missed it again!
The biggest news of the year made it on Page 35 of the July 4 issue in an article that had the unusual headline "New 'hires' give GM a killer month."
General Motors, the world's largest auto company - which many have claimed moves slowly and can't get it together - puts together an incredible sale that has a major impact on our country with a 46.9 percent increase in sales, and your staff puts the article on Page 35.
On Page 1, you chose instead to run an article about a New Jersey dealer picking Toyota instead of Ford ("It's a no-brainer").
The GM news is huge and will have so much more impact on the auto world than the Ford-Toyota dealer's decision.
It's time to get with the program and report the positive news - the important news - first.
