When the M class was redesigned for 2006, Mercedes-Benz did not regard the cupholders as an afterthought. They were an important part of the SUV's interior design. The two center-console cupholders are not only easy to reach, Mercedes execs tout, they are lighted, too.
A cup of convenience
Acura likes to point out that the interior of the 2005 RL features rich leather, genuine wood trim and an assortment of leading-edge technology. But it's the little things, such as the cupholders that emerge from the rear armrest, that make a ride in the RL comfortable.
Accent on bright
When the 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser goes on sale this fall, consumers will notice a handful of interior design tweaks. Those include front cupholders on the Limited and GT models that sport bright accents as well as two cupholders for rear-seat passengers that fold out from the back of the center console.
