DETROIT -- BMW Manufacturing Corp. has appointed Thomas Arlt, 39, to vice president of logistics and information technology in Spartanburg, S.C. He took the job on July 1.
Arlt took over for Manfred Stoeger, who will have a vice president-level position in Munich, Germany, in charge of aftersales technical services and market development.
Arlt was logistics product planning manager at the automaker's plant in Regensburg, Germany. He managed the logistics of getting parts from suppliers to the factory.
