Christopher Clark, 63, will be the new chairman of UK engineering group Wagon.
Clark, a metallurgist by training, retired as CEO of London-based chemicals company Johnson Matthey last year.
"I am delighted that Chris has agreed to lead our board," Wagon CEO Pierre Vareille said in a statement.
Clark's appointment will be formalized at Wagon's annual meeting on July 28. He replaces the retiring David Kendall, 70.
