French carmakers feel German carmakers have locked them out of prime press coverage at September's IAA in Frankfurt.
The German auto show, which alternates with Paris as Europe's major autumn show, has suddenly added an additional, third press day on Monday, September 12.
German automakers and even German supplier Webasto has a press conference scheduled on the new day. This effectively makes Monday the primary media day, leaving French automakers Renault and PSA/Peugeot-Citroen and Asian automakers alone on Tuesday.
The French fear that by Tuesday many journalists already will be gone.
