Shipments of RVs and conversion vehicles to dealers fell 7.0 percent in May to 34,500 units.
Makers of RVs and conversion vehicles shipped a total of 179,500 units to retailers during the first five months, down 0.8 percent from the year-ago period.
Towable RVs, which make up the largest portion of the RV market, declined 2.3 percent in May to 26,000 units. From January to May, the RVs are up 4.6 percent at 135,400.
Shipments of travel trailers rose 2.8 percent in May to 14,800 deliveries.
Deliveries of motor homes fell 8.3 percent in May to 5,500 units. For the five months, motor home deliveries are down 12.6 percent to 27,800.
