Mitsubishi will debut a lower-medium hatchback concept car at September's IAA in Frankfurt.
The prototype is the Japanese automaker's first use of its C-segment architecture developed with the Chrysler group.
Called the Concept Sportback, the design study previews a range of new Mitsubishi models planned over the next three years.
These include an SUV to be de-veloped with PSA/Peugeot-Citroen and probably the successor to the Lancer lower-medium car.
Chrysler will use the platform for its Dodge Caliber that will be shown as a production car at the IAA in Frankfurt in September.
