TOKYO - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Co., DaimlerChrysler's Japanese truck unit, named Harald Boelstler as its new president.
Boelstler, 54, previously was vice president of purchasing at Mercedes-Benz's passenger-car division in Stutt-gart.
He replaces Wilfried Porth, 46. Porth will take on an as yet unnamed new assignment in the autumn at D/C.
Fuso also named Naoya Hasegawa, 60, to its board as senior vice president responsible for quality management. A longtime Nissan employee, Hasegawa was assigned to Nissan alliance partner Renault in 2002 as its international quality director.
