Volkswagen will stage a big parade of new and old Beetles in Berlin to mark the release of a Hollywood film featuring the car.
Around 3,000 Beetles are expected to take part in the event in the center of the German capital on Saturday, July 30.
The parade is a joint marketing exercise with Walt Disney Pictures to promote a new movie called Herbie Fully Loaded, which has its German premiere the same day.
The film is a remake of the 1969 Disney movie called The Love Bug.
In the new movie Herbie, a vintage VW Beetle that was the star of the 1969 film, falls in love with a yellow New Beetle.
Organizers hope the 3km parade will win an entry in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest Beetle procession.
