Sasaki heads Toyota Europe
Shinichi Sasaki is now in charge of all of Toyota's European operations.
Sasaki has been promoted to president and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe. He also will continue as president and CEO of Toyota's Euro-pean engineering and manufacturing division, a job he has held since June 2004.
Based in Brussels, Sasaki will oversee Toyota's European manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing operations.
Toyota Motor Europe's previous head, Tokuichi Uranishi, returns to Japan to become executive vice president of Toyota Motor Corp.

BorgWarner promotes Matthes
Bernd Matthes, 45, is the new president of BorgWarner Transmission Systems.
Matthes was instrumental in the development of Borg-Warner's DualTronic transmission technology. He will move to the US supplier's global headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, from the company's European base in Heidelberg, Germany.
Matthes, who was BorgWarner Transmission Systems's vice president of European operations, joined BorgWarner as chief engineer in 1993.
He succeeds Mark Perlick.
Perlick, 58, takes on the newly created position of vice president of technology for Borg-Warner. Perlick also will be based in the US.

Norman gets new Fiat job
TURIN - Stephen Norman, 50, is the new marketing director for the Fiat brand. He will be based at Fiat's headquarters in Turin.
The UK native was previously managing director of Fiat Auto in France, which means he was responsible for the Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia brands.
He has spent most of his automotive career in France, first with the Rover group, then Volkswagen.
Norman replaces Massimo Farao, 38, who moves to a job in Fiat Auto's product portfolio management department.
Carlos Gomes, who heads Alfa Romeo in France, takes on Norman's prior duties as head of Fiat Auto in France. He also remains head of Alfa in France.
