In his May 16 letter, "Global warming stories show bias," Drew Davis was wrong to criticize Automotive News for its healthy skepticism regarding global warming because:
Carbon dioxide, the premier greenhouse gas, has increased from 316 parts per million to 376 parts per million in the last half century. And carbon dioxide - the small increase of which is not all human-caused -makes up a mere 3/10,000ths of 1 percent of the total atmosphere.
Yet we're told mankind's minuscule contribution to a microscopic total is altering global climate. Please.
Now they tell us the ozone is so tight it's one reason Earth's warmth can't escape and is a contributor to global warming.
Those folks have been consistently wrong for 40 years.
So, Automotive News, maintain your healthy skepticism. With it, you serve your readers well.
