FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Volkswagen's premium unit Audi AG appointed Joerg Felske as new head of sales for Germany, effective Aug. 1, the company said on Friday.
The 44-year-old manager will replace Stefan Mueller, who will take charge of all retail sales activities for the Volkswagen group.
Felske currently heads up customer service and original parts at Audi, a job that will be handed to Johannes Thammer.
Audi deliveries in Germany rose 9 percent in the first five months of 2005 to 101,097 vehicles. Its market share increased to 7.5 percent during this period compared to 7.0 percent in the previous year.
