Fredrik Arp: Will be CEO of Volvo Car Corp.
Hans-Olov Olsson: Will be Volvo chairman
Arp, 52, most recently worked as CEO of Trelleborg AB, a Swedish supplier of polymers. He will report to Mark Fields, Ford executive vice president of Premier Automotive Group and Ford of Europe.
The two appointments take effect Oct. 1.
Olsson, 63, has worked at Volvo for 39 years and led the company as it became the most profitable member of Ford's Premier luxury group.
Arp is Swedish. Some in Volvo had been concerned that Olsson's successor would come from outside Sweden because there were no obvious successors within the company.
