WASHINGTON -- Saturn Corp. is recalling nearly 300,000 L-series sedans and wagons to check for faulty brake lights and taillights.
The affected cars are 2000-02 sedans and 2000-04 wagons. General Motors blames a plastic housing in the light assembly that can become distorted from prolonged brake use.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says dealerships will install new sockets and socket adaptors or, if necessary, replace the light assemblies.
