Two executives who came to the automotive world from other industries will speak June 14 at the Automotive News Manufacturing Conference in Birmingham, Ala.
Dan Gaudette is senior vice president for North American Manufacturing and Quality Assurance at Nissan North America Inc. Before joining Nissan more than 20 years ago, he was an accountant at Ford Motor Co. and an industrial engineer at Great Lakes Steel.
At Nissan, Gaudette started as an accountant and worked his way up as a project manager and plant manager.
Before joining Toyota, James Bolte was a systems engineer with Ashland Oil Inc.
At Toyota, Bolte wears two management hats.
He is vice president for manufacturing and administration at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama Inc. and also is vice president of information systems for Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America Inc.
