SHANGHAI – Despite its high price, BMW’s Mini sells well in China.
BMW sells about 1,300 Minis a year in China and Taiwan, said Kay Segler, BMW’s brand management vice president for Mini at the auto show here.
In China Mini sells the Cooper variant for E35,000. In Germany the car costs E16,600.
“We could sell a lot more but we are restricted by supply,” said Segler.
The Mini brand has 12 sales outlets in four Chinese cities.
