The gear shifting you hear at Lear Corp. may signal Doug DelGrosso's new status as a prime contender to succeed CEO Robert Rossiter.
In what appeared to be a smooth succession, the Southfield, Mich., supplier named DelGrosso, 43, to the new position of COO at about the same time last week as the announced departure of Donald Stebbins to the job of COO at Visteon Corp.
DelGrosso and Stebbins, formerly COO of Lear's operations in Europe, Asia and Africa, were viewed inside Lear as possible contenders for the top job.
