Tata Motors will build and export to Europe the production version of the Xover concept that was shown at the Geneva auto show in March. The 7-seat crossover was designed specifically for Europe as part of the Indian automaker's aggressive plans to boost sales here, says Tata. I.DE.A. Institute of Turin did the exterior styling for the vehicle, which Tata says combines the attributes of an SUV and a minivan with the driving dynamics of a sedan. Tata will launch the vehicle in India in 2007. It will be sold in Europe with gasoline and diesel engines. The starting date for European sales hasn't been announced.
