On June 17 of last year I placed an order for a Toyota Prius and was informed that it would not arrive at the dealership until January, February or March of this year. I am still waiting for it, and the dealer can't tell me when it will arrive.
It is interesting that your Feb. 21 article "Toyota launches Prius ad campaign" states: "The wait time for a Prius in the United States averages two to three months, a Toyota spokeswoman says. That's down from a peak of six months, she adds."
If Toyota intends to launch an ad campaign, I think it should be upfront with its dealers and its prospective customers about the true wait time for delivery.
