Daniele Bandiera, the former president of the Alfa Romeo business unit, has been appointed CEO of Italian motorcycle maker Moto Guzzi.
A mechanical engineer, Bandiera, 47, headed Alfa from January 2002 to September 2004. Before that he was head of manufacturing at Alfa parent Fiat Auto.
While with Fiat he also created the carmakers greenfield assembly plant in Melfi, in central Italy.
Moto Guzzi is a part of the Piaggio Group, Europes largest maker of motorcycles.
