Saab's Trollhättan, Sweden, plant is safe until 2010 at least.
General Motors Europe said Friday it will continue to build Saab 9-3 and 9-5 models there for the next five years.
The plant also will build the new Cadillac BLS (B-segment luxury sedan) for European markets.
Production of the next-generation 9-3 and BLS will shift to GM's plant in Rüsselsheim, Germany, which builds the Opel Vectra. Rüsselsheim will produce mid-sized cars for GM starting in 2008.
