Mitsubishi Motors North America has joined the ranks of automakers offering Sirius Satellite Radio Inc.
The 2006 Mitsubishi Raider pickup, which goes on sale next fall, will be the first product from the automaker, available with Sirius service installed at the factory.
Mitsubishi says three additional models in the 2007 model year will have the Sirius service available as an option. The satellite service will be part of the Premium Audio System package.
Buyers who opt for Sirius radio will get free activation of the service and a six-months prepaid subscription.
Other automakers that offer the Sirius service include Ford Motor Co., DaimlerChrysler, Volkswagen/Audi, BMW/Mini, Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Nissan/Infiniti and Porsche.
