BEIJING -- Ford Motor Co. has received approval from the Chinese government to build a plant in the east China city of Nanjing.
The plant will produce Ford- and Mazda-brand cars. It will have an initial annual production capacity of 160,000 units.
The plant is jointly invested by Ford, Mazda Motor Corp. and Changan Automotive Group. The size of the investment has not been disclosed.
