Vogelheim, who has been with Kelley for 20 years, said Power presented "an opportunity that I just couldn't pass up."
While at Kelley, Vogelheim was key in developing a more public persona to what had been an inside-the-industry trade publisher. He also was active in developing the content strategy for Kelley's web site, www.kbb.com.
"I wasn't looking for anything, but I've known the Power guys for a long time," Vogelheim said in a phone interview. "I bleed blue. This was just a case of timing and opportunity."
J.D. Power senior partner Tom Shaver said details of Vogelheim's position will be announced on Jan. 27, at the company's conference preceding the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in New Orleans.
