The Chrysler group will bring two concept vehicles to the Detroit auto show in January. An unnamed Chrysler two-seater, above, is based on the Dodge Viper and is powered by a 6.1-liter Hemi V-8. The Viper suspension is softened to create a ride akin to that of an Aston Martin, says Trevor Creed, the Chrysler group's senior vice president of design. He calls the roadster a "Corvette fighter." The estimated top speed is 185 mph. Jeep will introduce the Gladiator pickup concept, right. The mid-sized pickup is based on a unique platform and has Wrangler styling cues. It has a canvas top and a truck bed that expands. The Gladiator is powered by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel.
