LOS ANGELES -- Jack Reilly, former president and chairman of American Isuzu Motors Inc., died here Friday, Nov. 12, from complications related to cancer.
His son, Bob Reilly, said his father also had suffered from Parkinson's disease for four years. Reilly was two days shy of his 78th birthday.
Reilly started his career with Buick Division in 1957 and became the first president of Porsche-Audi of America in 1969. During the 1970s he was a partner in Toyota distributorships in New England and the mid-Atlantic states.
He was named the first head of American Isuzu in June 1980.
He retired from American Isuzu in 2001.
Services will be held Friday, Nov. 19, at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Dana Point, Calif.
