DETROIT -- General Motors, the top seller of certified pre-owned vehicles in the United States, has the best-selling brand of certified used cars and trucks, too.
GM is expected to announce today, Nov. 15, that Chevrolet has overtaken Toyota division as the best-selling single-line brand of certified used vehicles.
GM says it sold 218,451 certified Chevrolets in the first 10 months of 2004. That is 26,240 more vehicles than the 192,211 certified used vehicles sold by Toyota division in that period.
Jeff Heichel, director of GM used-vehicle activities, says Chevrolet sold 25,127 certified vehicles in October, its best month ever.
GM Certified sold 369,389 certified vehicles through October.
