Buyers awaiting the next addition to Toyota Motor Corp.'s hybrid vehicle lineup have a reason to look forward to tax day: April 15 is the official on-sale date for the Lexus RX 400h.
Toyota says it has more than 9,500 sold orders for the RX 400h, which will be designated a 2006 model. No price has been announced.
The RX 400h uses a 3.3-liter V-6 engine and electric motor to produce a combined 270 hp.
But what if a current Lexus owner's lease runs out before the hybrid sport wagon arrives? No problem. Lexus Financial Services will extend leases for current Lexus owners who have ordered a RX 400h by as much as 12 months to cover any potential gap.
